One of the most challenging topics in the first few weeks of an introductory biology course is the concept of osmosis and tonicity. We have designed a new video, “Osmosis and Tonicity” to help students understand the basic concepts of tonicity, and its influence on human red blood cells. This 2 minute tutorial can be used in both a lecture and lab environment, or as a review of basic biological concepts in preparation for an exam.
